The Good News Revival Centre has had a significant impact on Christian ministries and unsaved communities as reflected in the following achievements since 1994, although the ministry has been working actively for many years:
Seminars, conferences and workshops
We bring pastors periodically together from across the whole body of Christ for unity, fellowship and training, we fully sponsor workshops and seminars and organise conferences.
Church Planting
Church planting is a major area of our ministry which oversees 267 churches to date and this number is growing. The Mobile School of Ministry meets the needs of those who cannot afford to travel to the Bible College due to family commitments or financial constraints. Pastors of various Christian denominations pair to visit villages and prepare the local people for Christian Ministry, just as in the Bible College. Many have already graduated this way and the word of God is spreading.
Bible College
The College endeavours to prepare all students for a rich, fruit bearing life and to be true leaders in their area of ministry. Without it, the ministry would not grow. Graduates should be able to bring the Word of God to others and disciple new leaders themselves.
Community - COME
Community Mobilisation and Empowerment aims to provide people in Malawi with the necessary skills and confidence to become true entrepreneurs instead of pure consumers in their country, ending their total dependency on external circumstances. This can be achieved by teaching specific work and management skills in such varied areas as mechanics, metal work, plumbing, computers etc... People are taught managerial skills and the church as a whole is invited to implement these skills in its ministry as well.
Prison Ministry
God has really given Pastor Milanzi a heart for his precious lost ones. He started ministering together with his own children in the high security central prison of Zomba. Last year, around 200 inmates gave their life to Christ and having subsequently followed a proper Bible teaching graduated at the end of 2004 in a joyful celebration transmitted through the major media and acclaimed by the judicial authorities. The supreme court authority has now granted Pastor Milanzi and his team full access to all prisons in Malawi to extend this experience all through the country. They now run the Jehovah M’Kadesh prison ministry providing spiritual and moral counseling and support for the inmates as well as works of mercy and recreation for psychological relief. The Project Destiny is providing the means for the successful re-insertion of those once lost back into the mainstream of society.
Maranatha Orphanage
One of the very first burdens the Lord has put on Pastor Milanzi ‘s heart. Due to the severe AIDS pandemic and to famine, thousands of children every year are deprived of a normal life, becoming orphans very early in their life, unable to subsist by themselves. The ministry has built several orphanages in Malawi to serve the rapidly increasing number of orphans but the need is overwhelming, the HIV/AIDS pandemic having reached catastrophic proportions in our country. It kills 80.000 productive parents annually, with over 2.000.000 HIV positive cases and more than 400.000 orphans nationwide per year. Looking after orphans means looking after all the aspects of these young people, bringing to them a love they were deprived of, feeding and clothing them, teaching them also and generally caring for all of their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
Maranatha Relief Partners provide food to the aged and starving and give a hand in times of disaster. They also look after the disabled.
Health Centre
The Good News Health Centre was recently built to respond to a serious need especially among the rural communities where no healthcare is readily available. People have to walk, or be carried, to the nearest hospital. The aim is to allow people to receive the care they need locally. However supplies of drugs and the appropriate medical examination equipment along with the know-how still need to be developed.
Maranatha Publishers
Maranatha Publishers, established in Limbe, prints and publishes Christian literature and is committed to support indigenous ministries even in the urban areas. We produce all useful printed material for the various areas of our ministry and offer such facilities to the community as well. We write and translate in Chichewa and publish works of interest for the development of the community.
G.I.I.T.A.L.
Global Institute for Information Technology and Advancement Ltd. Our institution offers computing facilities for study with an aim to opening this field of knowledge to the greater number in our country. It is incorporated in the ACRED.
ACRED
The Christian community is instrumental in instilling hope to Malawians because it is a faith community. With proper orientation to sound Biblical principles for business it is possible to make Malawian Christian leaders and workers productive. To this effect, the ACRED Centre trains Christian leaders, pastors and Christian workers to integrate ministry and Christian Enterprise Culture.
The African Christian Resource Development offers quality vocational skills and training in craftsmanship, Information Technology, enterprise culture, spiritual leadership and business management skills to provide economic self-reliance and enhanced productivity. This same program is also one of the features of the Project Destiny started in the prisons to give ex-inmates and especially juveniles the necessary skills for their permanent re-insertion / rehabilitation in the mainstream of society.
VIC Radio
Victory in Christ radio broadcasts the word of God and allows us to reach a vast number of people all over the country. Almost everyone in our country relies on the radio waves to keep in touch with the rest of the world and to bring some relief in their homes from the heavy strain of life (famine, poverty, death).
Wheels for Evangelism
This is an extension of the church planting ministry and of the itinerant Bible College teaching. Pastors who are involved in distant ministry, in far places or in difficult areas have been equipped with bicycles, allowing them to reach a greater number. Receiving a bicycle in our country would be as precious as for Westerners to receive a helicopter, it is a great encouragement to those devoted ministers.
EAGLE Foundation
This foundation aims to provide adequate education for all in the country. It also trains teachers at its Eagle ‘s Teachers Training Institute for this purpose.
The Eagle ‘s Teachers Training Institute (E.T.T.I.) was set up to answer the need in Malawi for more trained teachers with a Christian perspective, ready to fight not only the lack of literacy but also the lack of knowledge in fighting the AIDS pandemic and everything that is destroying our beautiful country. This is a university accredited program.
Harvest School of Ministry
Harvest seminars and outreaches have been a regular program of ministry over the last 20 years. The World Harvest School of Missions caters for indigenous Christian workers and pastors to support churches in need.
Water for Life
The lack of safe clean water continues to kill many in our country and it is to respond to that need that we have started installing wells and pumps in rural areas, where this is a life giving and life changing intervention. This is a costly area of our ministry and we need all the financial support we can get to bring this new hope to most of the country (read our account in the ‘Latest News’).
